I had a wonderful time at Refugio El Hornillo during my week-long stay. The location is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views overlooking the valley. It's the perfect place if you're seeking peace and quiet away from the touristy areas. The host, Nicolas, was extremely knowledgeable about hiking and the island, recommending amazing trails every day. The rooms were comfortable, and the dormitory had spacious beds with curtains and lockers. The food was delicious, with authentic meals for dinner and high-quality products for breakfast. Highly recommended for nature lovers and hikers!
I recommend this hotel.

Outstanding mountain retreat! Tidy rooms, huge comfy beds, and a perfect sunbathing terrace. The experienced host is a fantastic chef and hiking guide. Nutritious meals, sandwich take-out, and amazing hiking tips. Remote and peaceful location, surrounded by pure nature. Fall asleep to crickets and owls, count bright stars, and explore the caves. The former school building offers great views, quietness, and cleanliness. Friendly and helpful owner. Far from touristy areas, it's a haven of peace and tranquility. Great walks from the property and stunning hikes recommended by the knowledgeable host. Dorm has good beds with curtains, lockers, and a cozy atmosphere. Delicious authentic meals and high-quality breakfast. Careful attention to guests' needs, excellent Wi-Fi, off-site parking, restaurant, laundry, and pet-friendly. Energetic and vibrant stay, highly recommended!

The rooms at Refugio El Hornillo are absolutely charming! I loved how cozy and comfortable they were, perfect for a family like ours. And the best part? Some of the rooms have a lovely patio where we could relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It was such a peaceful and relaxing experience, just what we needed.
Personally, I didn't enjoy the fact that there was no air conditioning in the rooms. But hey, that's just me!

We had a fantastic time at a guest house nestled on a hill with stunning views of the surrounding valley. The location was perfect for hiking and exploring the mountains. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the breakfast provided was fresh and delicious. The restaurant accompanying the accommodation offered a cozy atmosphere and tasty meals.
The manager's behavior towards guests was quite rude and unprofessional.

The hidden gem we stayed at was absolutely amazing! We loved the delicious meals prepared by the owner every evening. The owner was also very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great tips for hiking and exploring the beautiful mountains. Additionally, the breakfast served was fantastic and helped us start our day right.
We had a negative experience with the manager during our stay. He was quite rude and impolite towards us and other guests.
